Family of woman killed in Edmonton hotel bittersweet about guilty verdict
Friends of Cindy Gladue, a 36-year-old Metis and Cree woman, let out a sigh of relief outside an Edmonton courthouse after the man accused of killing her was found guilty Friday night. Two trials and a decade after police were called to the bloody crime scene at a hotel, Bradley Barton, a former trucker from Mississauga, Ont., was found responsible for the death of Gladue.
